Johannes Müller ist Data Scientist und Sozialunternehmer. Er studierte an der Schnittstelle von Sozialwissenschaften und Statistik in Konstanz und Oxford. Er ist Gründer und Vorstandsvorsitzender des gemeinnützigen Netzwerks CorrelAid, welches über 2000 ehrenamtliche Datenwissenschaftler:innen mit Non-Profit-Organisationen vernetzt. Als Mitgründer und Chief Data Scientist der Softwarefirma &effect data solutions GmbH unterstützt er Stiftungen und Verbände bei der Entwicklung von wirkungsorientierten Datenprodukten. Politisch engagiert er sich für die Förderung der digitalen Zivilgesellschaft und die gemeinwohlorientierte Nutzung von Daten. Unter anderem war er Sachverständiger in der KI Enquete Kommission des deutschen Bundestags.
