Talk Kasper Kok: Creating a dynamic, data-driven profession-skills ontology
In times where skills play an increasingly central role in hiring and mobility processes, it is important to have a good grip on the skill landscape. Over the last years, Textkernel has leveraged their database of hundreds of millions vacancies to model skills, professions and the relation between them. In his talk, Kasper Kok gave an overview of the process through which the Textkernel classification systems are built and continuously enriched with the latest terminology.
Here you have access to the presentation slides of Kasper Kok.
The talks were given at the OJA Forum in May 2022, co-hosted by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training. The OJA Forum aims to connect experts in the analysis of OJA, to discuss methodological challenges, and to update each other on the current state of research. Furthermore, it is intended to contribute to further exploiting the potential of OJA analysis and to pave the way for further study ideas and cooperations.
